I was told, years ago, that there were certain expectations that were completely legitimate to cling to. Horns have a certain sound to them, for example. As do triodes. And panel speakers. And ceramic drivers. The problem, perhaps obvious giving the way I’m framing this, is that most of these expectations are wrong. Or, if not wrong in kind, certainly![]()
